What happened to mandatory PE?
I found the pic on a friends LiveJournal. She was posting about eating McDonald's for dinner tonite LOL. No idea the real origin of the photo other than the website on it. Anyway...

At my school at least, we have a gym. The middle school uses it because when the K-8 school became a K-4 and a 5-8 school the gym was in the 5-8 and therefore, they use it we don't. Our kids get "Movement" a far cry from PE. My friend took her kindergarten class to the gym and it was like christmas morning they were SO excited. Our 4th graders had a field day of sorts @ Robert Clemente St. Park and I was told the physical activity was pittiful. No energy whatsoever. And they have No imagination when it comes to making up games to play or being able to play the typical school games.
But this is more than some schools have so....be happy for what little you got I guess.
