My chapter is fabulous with programming! Usually I'm not down with "Amway"-like things, but a woman from that corporation did a dress for success workshop for us--educating us on what colors look best when going in for an interview, what colors match us best.
My favorite was when we learned about dining etiquette. One of my sisters was working at a fancy restaurant at that time, and we had our chapter meeting in the private party room that night. She took it upon herself to teach us the do's and dont's of etiquette. It was the funniest thing.
Another great topic was sexual harassment, and for this we invited a gender equity representative from the university who educated us on "how far is too far". You would be so suprrised as to some of the things that came up. Needless to say, we came out of that meeting more confident than we already were!
I'm looking forward to this upcoming semester and the new topics we'll be tackling! If there are any good ones--I'll let you know!
