Actually there was a time when women were treated for "hysteria"...which in essence was they went to the DR and he "massaged" those spots that obviously their husbands weren't reaching ...after a few sessions the uptight woman would relax and be able to return to her normal life...or maintain a steady regiment of therapy in order to maintain their sanity ....
