Hmm, I'm not really sure if this works for everyone, but it worked for a sister of mine who turned alum one year ago.

Even though we have a junior circle, she still felt intimidated with the older circle of alumnae. What she did was volunteered to serve as an alumna advisor for our executive council. In addition to that, she worked closely with the older alums on projects like the newsletter and fundraisers. Basically, she jumped right in there and found that they were the sweetest, dearest ladies. It took some time to feel that she was on their level and that they were all equals. The purpose isn't meant to segregate the different age groups, but it provides more organization and strength since our alumnae chapter is so large. Still, would it be possible to organize a junior circle-like organization of your own? If you feel this way I'm sure that there are some of your sisters who share the same feeling. Talk it out with your sisters and see how they feel about it.
