When I graduated in 97, my friends and I all separated and we went to different colleges. 3 of us went to UH and the rest were all on the mainland. Of the 7 of us I was the only one to go Greek, but by that time we all had different interests and had pursued them through different kinds of clubs and internships on our respected campuses. We still keep in contact through email, but we usually only get to see each other during the breaks. Even though we rarely have time together, I still consider them my best friends. Now that we're graduating soon, we're all going to be separated again, this time maybe longer, because we'll probably have to leave home to get jobs (it's too expensive to live here).
My friends in AGD are my sisters. I hesitate to call them my best friends, but I don't really consider that a bad thing. I have a special bond with them that no one could ever understand, as I do with my best friends from the 9th grade.
But still, I don't limit myself to those two groups. College has given me the opportunity to meet people from different places and backgrounds, and because of that I feel blessed to have them as friends.
