And I have actually read the Fed report. You know what's funny? When the Fed offered me a job. You know what's also funny? When I turned it down to work 2 blocks away so that my bonus would be equal to what my salary at the Fed would have been. Perhaps you should spend time reading other Fed writeups. Good luck.

I keep bringing it up not in a serious way, but as a joke, because you are always harping on how smart you are and how amazing your school is and how amazing your job is and how much money you make. This is not the only thread where you've tried to belittle someone because you're "so much smarter". If you're so smart, why dont you just sit back and stop bragging and let your intelligence speak for itself. I have a lot of respect for Chicago and the programs there, which I am sure you made the most of. It just so happens though that there are other excellent universities with excellent programs that attract very smart people and subsequently enable graduates to find excellent positions making lots of money. You're not the only smart kid out there with a great degree and a great job.
As for the Fed and salaries, yes, it's a goverment job, so the salaries are indeed lower than comparable positions in the private sector. Once again though, your ego is getting away with you - you asked for a creditable source, NOT where you can go to earn the most money. I'm really happy you have a good job and that you had the opportunity to work at the Federal Reserve. That's not the point though - when it comes to unbiased information about the state of the economy, The Federal Reserve is about as credible as it gets.
