Hey all!

I was wondering if you guys knew of any cutesy songs for rush. I think our selection is a little small and my brain is dead from finals and I can't think of any cute ones! I know there's soe song to the tune of Oscar Meyer (Oh I wish I was a Kappa Kappa Gamma...) but I don't know any other lyrics. If anyone could either help me with songs or point me to somewhere I could find some, Epsilon Delta at Arizona State would greatly appreciate it. Oh yea, I'd appreciate it too!

Welcome to the forum, KappaPrincess! So nice to have you here!!

I know a bunch of cute rush songs, but how will you be able to hear the tune? Hmmm... I'll just start with the ones that go to familiar tunes...

1) To the tune of "Tom's Diner" by Suzanne Vega (You know that part that goes, Doo-do-Doo-do, Doo-do-Doo-do, Do Do do-do doo-do-doo-doo)--so descriptive, I know, but those are the actual lyrics. Anyway, here are the KKG lyrics:

4) I love this song, again, though, I don't know how to describe the tune. It's very upbeat and cute:

4) Does your chapter do "On the Heart of Each Sister"? Mine didn't, but the last chapter I advised (U. of Iowa) and the current chapter I advise (Babson College) do... it's so pretty! Here are the lyrics, just in case you don't know it:

I just thought of 2 more really cute ones that I've heard:

(1) to the tune of "Sweet Home Alabama":

(that's all I can remember, but it was so cute!)

(2) to the tune of Copa Cabana (you'll have to find something else to rhyme with "cabana"... I went to Indiana U., so that's why we used that rhyme...

I was totally trying to think of words for Kappa Kabana, but I kept getting stuck!!! That's SOOOO much for the songs- they'll be a great help, even if we have to make up different tunes!! Thanks again!!

Rah Rah is my favorite for rush! We sing it actually when we pass out bids to the girls! They love it!

I don't know if any of you sing "Hag 'n Hag" (preferred drinking song of Zeta Epsilon), but if you know it, there's a Rush version too:

My chapter sang "Rah Rah for Kappa Kappa Gamma" too and in the middle section where you chant "K! Kappa Kappa Gamma, K! Bet your life I am a G! Girl who's proud to wear the golden key" we made K's and gammas with our arms and legs (too fun). There's a last verse to the song, too that goes

The tune to "On the Heart of Each Sister" is "The Ash Grove," for chapters that don't know it.

I came from a chapter of many music majors...We did a LOT of singing

Hello Kappas!!! I'm new to this forum, but I wanted to list some of my chapters KKG songs...during rush we have a whole round where we sing a TON of songs so here are some of them...

SONG #1: (it's really fast and upbeat!)
