if you get time, go up Charleston.....its about a 90 minute drive but it has (seriously!) the BEST shopping.....plus the city is really pretty and there's some pretty cool stuff there.....i just got back a couple of days ago. (i want to move there soooo badly)
directions: from hilton head, you need to get on 17 North and take to Charleston......just follow the signs for downtown Charleston and you'll go over this HUGE bridge (just dont have a panic attack like i always do when i go over it) and follow the signs to Meeting Street. Then take a right on Calhoun and you'll be at King Street....where all the shops and food are.
also the houses on East Bay are beautiful and you can't for get the Market on Market Street!
