As an involved alum, I wear my badge to collegiate chapter meetings, alumnae association board meetings, Founder's Day, District Workshops/Conventions, etc.
I have worn my badge to work on Founder's Day and NPC Day, and although I have gotten a few "looks," I was proud to be able to wear my badge!
Typically, in the working world, when I have a presentation to give or I need a little boost of courage, I will pin my badge to the inner lining of my blouse or a pocket. Just knowing it is there is a constant reminder of all of my sisters who are rooting for me to be successful! It helps chase away any nervousness or jitters.
I guess you could call my Alpha Delta Pi Badge my very own Good Luck charm! I also have a silly tradition with myself that whenever I put on my badge or take it off, I sing an ADPi song (humming or just singing it in my head) that is called "I love the pin." And I do love my pin! It reminds me of so many good things in my collegiate past, my alumnae present and everything yet to come in my life and my membership
