As far as the marriage date...it is not like they are going to wait till November and have birth, marriage and Founders Day ceremony all at once (although that would be pretty cool if you had the power over time & space to coordinate that). Plus if they already had plans and reserved the church and such, to cancel all that often means you eat the cost.
Jess - my dear sister - if you want to wear letters, by all means go ahead. I really don't think the administration is going to remember that if we want to recolonize 5 years from now....that's a little ridiculous. And she certainly won't be the first pregnant sister who did so.
I can't believe how some people are flippin' their scripts on this one...if she was a lesbian with 25 piercings and wanted to strut down the campus promenade kissing her girlfriend and wearing letters, would that be OK?

Well, as far as I know, none of our HQs have spoke out against lesbians with piercings making out with their girlfriends in letters. But I think we all know their policies on associating premarital sex with letters.
The thing is, it sounds like she's already got her mind made up that she's going to wear letters no matter what the people on GC say. And in that case, why ask for "permission"? It's not like her HQ can (or would) do much to her if they find out she's wearing the letters and they disapprove -- I don't think that's something they're going to take back her membership for, especially considering she's an alum. The major issue is what other people are going to think. And clearly some people are going to say, "Oh my god, how could you wear letters while being unmarried and pregnant???" What AlphaFrog (or anybody in her situation) needs to decide is whether or not that matters to her -- and from what she's posted it sounds like it doesn't. And that's all well and good, but it seems kinda silly to go around asking, "Do you think it's okay if I __________?" if you've already made up your mind that it's okay and you aren't going to take other people's thoughts into account.

I was married and pregnant and couldn't wear my wedding ring because of swelling....
oh, and I still wore my letters, as long as I could fit into them cause I *loved* that sweatshirt.

Does that mean that since I'm married, I can have all the sex I want in my letters? Does it have to be with my husband?
Suggestion:
When I graduated, I gave away most of my letters. The few that I loved and kept I took down to the local greek shop and had "Alumni" embroidered underneath the letters. Looks great, fairly inexpensive, and it could be a possible solution to the GC debate over what's appropriate and what's not.

Thats just a tad anal, not you being anal, but that the sense of social dissaproval would motivate you to do that.
And you can have sex in your letters . . why not? I am almost sure I have done so . . .

She's is only a few weeks pregnant and won't even show for another 3 or 4 months so I don't think wearing letters right now is an issue. Who's going to know she's pregnant? I didn't show until like 21 weeks.
Here's a practical thing to check out though. Where does your medical insurance come from? I had a co-worker in college who was still covered by her parents and found out that if she married the father of the baby before she had the baby, the "pre-existing condition" clause went into effect and they wouldn't pay for the pre-natal visits and the birth. They waited until the baby was born to get married then. In that situation, you either get married before there's any medical record of the pregnancy or wait until after the baby is born because that's one huge medical expense.

Luckily, my school insurance covers everything...It's weird, but since our health center doesn't have any sort of prenatal care, they will cover a doctor in the community and the hospital.

Good, I'm glad you have health care! I was flabbergasted when that girl had gone through that back in college and would never have thought about it until seeing her go through it.
