Re: What does your Chi O Jersey look like?

Our jerseys go by our families (I am assuming that is how it used to be?) and is given to us on initiation. My jersey is red with black cuffs and black background letters with white and black check fabric. I think that my family must be a branch off because mid-90s bid day pics don't have my jersey!

Looking at my Bid Day picture from 1979, almost all of us had red or yellow jerseys. Out of 75 members only 3 had blue jerseys.

My first jersey was white with double letters (red on top, yellow underneath) my chapter letters on the left sleeve & my last name on the back. I later got a red jersey with yellow letters (white underneath) with my nickname & favorite number on the back.

I know today some big/little sisters get the same type of jersey -- that was not necessarily the case in my day.

I never knew people had blue jerseys! That is interesting. . . If the jerseys back in 1979 were family based then the 2 jerseys that you had are still going strong! They are 2 of the smaller families b/c for some reason they normally don't take twins. Weird how that works out. I just now realized that. Our family and the yelow jersey family are the biggest with 13 each, but our families always tend to take multiples or girls from different pledge classes. How did jerseys work when you were active? By family?
