The problem is, it's not the
organization that is doing this to ppl, but some individuals that happen to be in a particular org. The
organization doesn't sweep anything under the rug; these ppl are being punished. You can actually research this as well.

I also think the best question is, how far are
you willing to go? If you were interested in an org, after stating the above, are you still interested? Why would you join now if you view the
organization in this light? Maybe because of the positive things that they do? (rhetorical). And you're right, it is a lifetime commitment. So
if you became a member, you have a lifetime to enjoy those positive aspects of that organization that made you want to join in the first place.
