AGAIN, my issue is not the fact that her boob was exposed--accident or not--in fact I was more embarrassed by the Celiac commercial and the four hour erection comment. BUT, I do understand about parents being upset.

Yes, for a lot of families, mine included, Super Bowl Sunday is a big deal and a fun time for all generations to watch TV together. My daughter has watched the Super Bowl with me, our family, and other families since she was old enough to know what a football was. (And I made sure her homework was done beforehand.) We love the sport and it is different than any other final championship game because you knew exactly when it would be and could plan the festivites ahead of time.

And until very recent years the half-time was geared to the broader market. It is just recently that the target demographics has shifted. I sat there wondering how all those teens got tickets to the game or was there a special ticket sale just for the half-time.

I believe that Janet did not intend for her breast to show, but I also think it was bad judgement on her and Justin's part to even think that having her red bra left to show was appropriate. I think the song was inappropriate. I think it was inappropriate for Nelly to constantly grab his crotch and I think Kid Rock was inappropriate.

But I put the real blame on the NFL, CBS and MTV (both owned by Viacom) or whoever decided that the half-time had to appeal to a specific demographics and not the overall demographics of professional football. Add that to the fact that most of the commercials were for beer, and teenaged drinking is a huge problem, it is rather hypocritical.

Whew, okay I'm done.
