For everyone to know:
I had a friend go through recruitment at SMU in the Spring of 2000, knowing full well how compititive recruitment is at SMU, she used the Fall to get good grades, attain strong recs and observe the sororities, etc etc. She went through with an open mind but knowing her dream house and she got what she wanted.
I shared what my friend had told me with SMUGirl and along with other advice she received, she prepared herself for rush. And from all we have observed here, she had a very sucessful recruitment! I commend her on that and congratulate her on her new home!

I can't wait to see her post on here- glad to know she's happy.
I just found out that a friend-of-a-friend, for whom I wrote a reference, got and accepted a bid from our chapter at SMU today. Hurrah!

Megan found my AIM name in my profile last fall and had known that I had a friend who was involved in the Greek System at SMU from Spring of 2000 to Spring of 2003. So that's how I "know" her. Never met her in person but she's very delightful!

Hey everyone. Well, rush is over and I am now a new member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. I don't have time to get into all of the details right now, but I just wanted to get on here and let yall know what I ended up pledging. I am extremely excited about being a Kappa. It is a wonderful chapter. Hopefully I will be able to get on later and give you some more details. Thanks again for all your support.
