Oh, FIPG is very much alive and kicking, they just don't provide insurance. I think the thought process for being a member group is to help member organizations structure their own risk management policies so that the organization is more attractive to insurance carriers - meaning cheaper insurance for some, for others, it may mean actually finding someone, anyone, that will provide insurance at any price.

Lambda Chi is still a member of FIPG, right?
