I clearly have no experienced opinion on this, seeing as how I'm 21, but I guess I always thought that age was more of an issue when you're in school. Once you're out of college I think anything within 7 or 8 years is fair game...you're living in the same real world, and though the chances are higher that you're in different parts of your life, couldn't you both be looking for the same thing??
And let's just say he's not husband material, does that matter? I have no idea what you're looking for but I say if you guys get along well, just have fun with it. Going on a date is not a contract binding you to marriage.
