The reality of it is this...
for me, when attending school, I didn't see the brothas who were "in school" or in a trade (because college is not for everyone) that were interested in sistas. I am sorry, but that's my experience. So yes, I believe your statistics but success is not always measured by the $100K plus salary one makes.
Why did I date thugs, because that was my reality. I didn't choose my friends based on "what they could do for me in the future $$$" but how they treated me as a person.
My husband is a former thug, but he stepped up before we became married and decided that he wanted to do the right thing and not jeopardize his/mine/family life aanymore, and I give him credit for that. I don't knock anyone for their hustle. Nor do I promote "thug mentality."
I think brickhouse 492 states it eloquently that with a thug, there are risks, however, being with a thug doesn't symbolize that a woman will be physically abused by him (but that's another issue), but yes, there are deadly risks involved with the game.
