When I was an undergrad, we had an unwritten rule which stipulated that we NEVER, EVER step/stroll to vulgar, anti-woman songs. It was hard, especially when roadtripping and visiting with sorors from chapters who saw nothing wrong with that behavior, but I was like, how can we be so pro-sisterhood, require ladylike mannerisms from our membership, yet disrespect our OWN selves by strolling to some old "B$%@!* Betta Have My Money" or whatever (yes, I'm showing my age)????
If I were to see my sorors doing that at a party now, I would gently ask them to cease and desist, with a full explanation as to why.
