My chapter has a very cool tradition revolving around the song "hey look and see". On Bid Day when all of our new members run to us we welcome them by screaming "hey look and see". After the PNMs are pledged in all the actives sing, "hey look and see" inserting the word "pin" for "quill" since they don't have it yet. After the girls initiation all the actives sing it again, with the word "quill". When a sister gets married, after she throws the bouquet, all the AXiDs in attendence pull the bride to a chair and sing "hey look and see" this time replacing Quill with "ring".
This song is one of my chapter's favorites because we actually chant it and all get really loud.
I was surpised at TLC last summer when i found myself talking about the song with someone else and found out that her chapter actually sings it slowly! I can't imagine doing anything but clapping and screaming it as a chant...i guess that's why it's one of my favorite songs
