I'm a bad-driver magnet.
- Turned into a gas station to fill up my rental before returning it. Some jack@$$ driving a hotel shuttle picked an inopportune moment to open the door. He flagged down a cop and tried to pin it on me
Lucky I had my cell and had already called 911
- Got rear ended because I stopped for a school bus.
- Hit a patch of black ice and spun out on an exit ramp. Netted a warning ticket for that one and lost my perfect driving record
- Some biatch in an SUV backed halfway across a parking lot into my husband's car, WITHOUT LOOKING... fortunately he caught her trying to flee the scene
- My husband lost control of my car while I was in the suicide seat - ABS ain't all it's cracked up to be
Edited to add:
- My husband hit a patch of black ice a few years back and hit a telephone pole. (I wasn't in the car.) Our $26,000 car saved a $500 telephone pole by crumpling first.
I was driving the same car last winter when I hit the black ice mentioned above - same point of impact (driver's side rear) - that side of the car has now been replaced twice!
