You all know (and for those who don't know, search for the gastric bypass thread) of my struggles.
I've never teased or hated thin people. I just hate the bias and hatred towards the "un-thin"...
I'm also 6' tall, so add that to the mix and I was both HUGE and invisible, yet dying to be invisible for simply "fitting in"....
I'm not a "beached whale" anymore, as someone so eloquently put it
, and I still feel the sting and pain of the abuse I put up with for years....
Yeah, it's not the same type of teasing...Especially in our society...
It can feel the same and I will not ever diminish the feelings that may linger over the teasing you may have endured, but the long term effects and outcomes are usually radically different....
