Agh. This kind of reminds me of my old high school. When I went to school there they didn't have (*too* many ) pointless rules... however, now that my younger sister and younger brother are attending that same high school, they have some silly rules when it comes to dress code...

One for example: Students may not wear shirts advertising ANY KIND OF MUSICAL BAND. This includes super hard rock bands, AND even country music.. or even their own musical band (lots of high school boys there are in their own bands).

I thought that was silly.

There was also something like If more than [specified number of students here] students are wearing the same shirt [or other type of clothing] someone has to go home and change, because that means they are in a gang.

WTH? My hometown is a small town, and everyone goes to the same stores.. so why does it matter if someone bought the same shirt as someone else?!???

Sometimes I wonder how they make up rules like this. Do they just need something to sit around and think about? Maybe they should worry about the random kids in school who are always distruptive instead of trying to find another rule to add to the dress code??
