Plenty of people have watched Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant drive to the hoop. Now, some have seen him drive to the altar -- or at least away from it.
Bryant, 22, was married Wednesday to Vanessa Laine, an 18-year-old high school student, in a private ceremony in front of about a dozen people at St. Edward Roman Catholic Church in Dana Point, Calif. No word on whether Shaq was best man.
After the nuptials, the happy couple scooted off in Bryant's black Ferrari. That was when Tim Foley, 42, and fiancee Karin Isaacson, 41 -- who plan to marry at the same church -- saw the Bryants making their exit.
Thinking ahead to the upcoming NBA playoffs, Foley said, "Go Lakers!" -- drawing a smile from Bryant.
Now that the wedding is over, the Bryants can settle in and start enjoying their lifelong union of eternal bliss. Ah, the wonderful things they can look forward to:

The first time they can both toast their marriage with an alcholic beverage, in 2004.
