 | LOL You did great on everything else though! Don't feel bad...until recently I thought the pearl was our official jewel...then I found out we don't HAVE an official jewel. I don't know why the pearl isn't though!

				Delta Gamma

Actually, our philanthropy is Service for Sight, our foundation is the Delta Gamma Foundation
So, our line up would be

 Delta Gamma International Fraternity
Founded: 1873 at Lewis School for Girls, Oxford, MS
 Executive Offices: Columbus, OH
Colors: Bronze, Pink, and Blue (most chapters sub yellow for bronze)
 Symbol: Anchor
Flower: The Delta Gamma Cream (or Cream Colored) Rose
 Mascot: Hannah doll
 Motto: Do Good
 Publication: Anchora
 Philanthropy: Service for Sight
 Foundation: Delta Gamma Foundation

Correct me if I'm wrong, but we don't have a jewel.

Awesome work, PenquinTrax! The only thing I would add about Alpha Delta Pi is that we also include the African Violet as our flower, due to the seasonal rarity of the Woodland Violet.

be nice to us, we just recently lost almost 30 chapters. not that we were that big to begin with.
 | Well if it makes you feel better, KDR is one of the ONLY fraternities that Phi Mu hangs out with at my school. The KDRs are real sweethearts

				Beta Theta Pi

			Beta Theta Pi Facts:
Founded: August 8, 1839 at Miami University (OH)

Nickname: Beta, BTP <-------I hate that

 Mascot: Dragon

Colors: Delicate Shades of pink and blue are official, though everything is pretty much red and dark blue now.

Flower: the Rose, but I'm not sure which variety and I can't find it on our GF website...wish I had my pledge manual at home.

Gem: The diamond is standard on all badges (though now due to expense cubic zirconium is in the badge first recieved upon membership and if you want the diamond you must buy a new badge)

Philanthropy:Was Children's Burn Awareness but that has since been dropped as a national partnership in favor of chapters finding programs that have a bigger impact in the community of the chapter. However chapters can continue to do Children's Burn Awareness if they so desire.

nyrdrms -- I've been curious about this, and your post reminded me -- why does Gamma Phi use so many colors? What's the difference between "explanation" colors and "informal" colors? I think your official colors are so distinctive!
 Fraternally,
 Christin

 | I would have to agree that most of the information about AOII is correct, HOWEVER Barnard College and Columbia University are not interchangable. . . . . Barnard was the women's college of Columbia University. Our Founders were student of Barnard College as women were not allowed to attend Columbia University proper.

 | Just a slight new correction- our new Philanthropy is CampfireUSA. Camp Sechelt was low on funding and counselors, so it was sold and we recently began a philanthropic partnership with CampfireUSA. :-)

			AOIIalum--
Sorry about that, it was a typo...it was supposed to say that blue and gold are our expansion colors...used for when we have colonies...I think, I just learned about it all at our last retreat.
