*bump again!*
I attended several Congressional Black Caucus events, hosted by other Greek organizations. It felt good to be "announced" -- "the Rhos are here", "There's a Sigma Gamma Rho", etc. I was able to meet the heads of these organizations and they treated me as if I was a national officer. One event I went to, me and my girl were the only Sigma women there, we received the utmost Rhoyal treatment.
When I meet a Soror out in public we greet each other and talk as if we have known each other for years. Much to the amazement of others around us, it's like an instant bond.
I could go on and on but it was nice to see our Grand Basileus Owens walk in on our Area I meeting this past weekend and call out different Sorors by first name and exclaim, "I see all my friends!"
