Look at it this way - maybe you and your pledgesisters would be the ones to make ABC stronger. I know this is what happened in my chapter...myself and several of the other girls who pledged around the same time really didn't care about the older sisters' saying (mainly out of insecurity) "Oh, we only hang out at so and so fraternity", "we could never compete with so and so sorority" and so on. We just flushed all that and did what we wanted to do and didn't let any preconceived notions stand in our way. We opened a lot of people's eyes up to what our sorority was really like - fun, independent, wonderful women.
It sounds like the girls in ABC are already the ones you like and feel comfy with. I felt when I chose a sorority, not only did I want them to help make me a better person, but I wanted to feel like I helped improve the sorority too. If it's really down to the 2, I would go with ABC.
