WIFLSRN: This morning I brought my yearbook with me from my freshman year when I was at UND to show my friends, and they brought theirs. My BFF, we were at both colleges UND and U of M together. I swear we looked SO young, lol. Ya know, you don’t really think that you’ve really aged much until you see an old yearbook. Aye Yai Yai!

This is what I’m talking about. 1956 - 1976 and the value of this car went up astronomically back then. 20 years. Let’s go back 20 years now to 2005 with a 20 year old car today. It’s not worth one red cent. Why? Because styling matters. That’s why. Now this MB is worth 10 million dollars and still looks unbelievably gorgeous in 70 year old original condition. Why? Because styling always matters.
10 mil for that? I wouldn’t pay $10 for that pos. That’s crazy.

And it’s not just clinic stuff. It’s the oversharing. The personal drama. People tell me things I didn’t ask to know while I’m literally trying to take a temperature.

And don’t even get me started on when I finally carve out 30 minutes for myself at my favorite coffee shop. I just want to have a moment to read and listen to my music and then a client sees me and decides to invite themselves over and sit with me. It’s really annoying.
Why can’t you just tell them to eff off but in a polite way like you’re trying to get some you time with out telling them to eff off Lol.

You ever get dropped? Lol

I hear you. You look like you’re in your early to mid 30s though CG. You could easily pass for that age. For real. You probably looked young as hell your freshman year in college. Like 16 Lol. I should post a picture of me when I was in high school so folks who haven’t met me IRL can get an idea of what I look like. I’m damn sure not posting a current picture of my bald ass now though Lol.

Ohhh yes! I’ve been dropped. Not a lot, but enough to still get flashbacks when I hear the word “pyramid” lol. So, I remember in high school, my base lost her grip during a liberty, and I slid straight through her hands like a bar of soap. That was like… OMG!

Hilarious! Post it. Do you still look the same? My 25 year high school reunion is next year. I’m hoping people will recognize me.

I keep finding old pictures of me with TKEGuy and we just keep saying "we looked like babies". Now he's fully gray and I am a wrinkled mess. Whatcha gonna do? We're in our 60s.

You posted that like I know the terminology, CG. What’s a liberty and your base? What’s that all mean in a language non-cheerleaders can understand Lol

Bet… What’d you use to post those recent images of you?

Oh stop. You both still look like yourselves, just with a little extra distinction and a lot more stories behind your eyes. Honestly, I think the best kind of aging is when you still see the same face, just with more depth and better posture.

Besides, gray is just wisdom’s way of accessorizing.

And you are NOT a “wrinkled mess”, Dee. You look great!

Oops, sorry. So, a liberty is when I stood on one foot in the air during a stunt, and my bases were the girls on the ground holding me up. Basically, they did the lifting, I just had to stay balanced and not fall.

I use this link because I can set it to when I want my photos to either stay up or automatically delete at the time I choose.

Here ya go.

With cheerleading, did any of your schools discriminate?

No, I don’t think so? Why?

WIFLSRN: Oh, I see. I totally get it. So we got two weeks of summer and now it’s fall again already! Might as well be. It’s freaking cold and rainy and has been for DAYS! I am so sick of this.

Hypothetical. You’re short so I’m assuming that’s why they made you a “flyer”. Let’s say a girl 4’ 11” 310 pounds (big as hell, as in built like a deep freezer with eyelashes — 3 bills easy) showed up to tryouts and wanted to be a flyer, would y’all’s coach let her on the squad to be a flyer or would they discriminate? For real question Lol.

Pardon the crash, but I recall back in the day girls were most likely chosen to a cheer or pom squad for three reasons: looks; talent; and do we have a uniform that she'll fit into. Our school used the same uniforms year upon year, no girl ever kept her uniform.

If our school had two tall girl unis but three talented tall girls, the two tall girls with the higher tryout scores were typically admitted to the squad. Purchasing a new uni for the third talented tall girl would've been too expensive, and her uni would've looked different/better than the other old unis.

In your example, I see it as unlikely a squad would've had a uni to fit a girl.of the size you describe.

I was under the impression they kept the uniforms. Then since that’s the case that they don’t, with a prayer, two cans of Crisco, and a running start, she might be able to slide into the uniform, but she’ll need spotters and a halftime break just to zip it up Lol

I can see CG’s cheerleading team now, they’d try to launch her like they do CG, but gravity would say, “Not today.” Girl would popped up two inches, and then drop like a bad idea. CG up top blinkin’ like, “That ain’t regulation.” Lmao
