The Miss America fb page recently listed two new areas of Onstage Talent that will be allowed during the Miss America and Miss America Teen competitions: ballroom dancing, and cheerleading.

Each Miss America/Teen contestant's performance is still limited to 90 seconds. If used as a prop, a partner is limited to one non-competing person per contestant and each non-competator must wear an all black outfit. Solo performances by partner props are not allowed.

How many months until a ballroom dancing Miss America Pageant competitor ends up on Dancing With The Stars....

Talent performances included slam poetry (Miss Texas),clogging (Miss Oklahoma) and a jazz dance routine to Lesley Gore’s 1963 hit “You Don’t Own Me” (Miss Wisconsin).
