				Starbucks Addiction

I was wondering if anyone else is addicted to starbucks, I find myself going in the mornings about 3 times a week. My drink of choice is an Iced Venti Carmel Macchiato. They are really good.

I like Coffee Frapuccinos with Whip Cream...yum! When I'm feeling really indulgent, I have a Caramel Frapuccino.

I love mocha fraps and also the mocha fraps with coconut - all you starbucks lovers would love vancouver - Starbucks is to Vancouver, as Tim Hortons is to Ontario (there's one on every street corner).

     | I just stopped in at Tims this morning, we have a bunch up here in the Columbus Ohio area. The coffee is wonderful, as are the double chocolate cake donuts.

There's Starbucks everywhere too, the Iced Venti Caramel Macchiatos and the Venti Chocolate Brownie Frappucinos are wonderful!

 | My boyfriend has a friend that likes to go off on anti-Starbuck's tirades. Apparently there are some serious human rights accusations against them regarding the treatment of their bean farmers. Supposedly people that speak up tend to 'disappear.' Also, they are notorious for setting up shop right next to local mom and pop shops with the intention of driving them out of business. They just set up in Old Town Fort Collins and a local area of Golden heavily populated by local entrepreneurs.

The same can probably be said of any really huge franchise though. Also, the flip side of this argument is that, previous to Starbucks, people weren't as interested in coffee as they are now. You could say that they don't control the market so much as they helped create it.

 | So who cares? I want my coffee!

Just kidding. Hell every corp in america does that. Nike, wal mart, Kathy Lee Gifford. If the world dint work that way, you'd be naked, walking the streets, and paying $150 for a pair of jeans from the Gap. Seriously folks, thers a reason the jeans cost $36.00. And its not cause they found some really nice americans to make if for that cheap. IF you live here, youre a part of the system. Somethign you own was produced by soemone somewhere whos life is miserable compared to ours. Unfortunately, its the way things are....
