I agree with SuperXOs very smart and well-put comments. If you are going to miss a chapter's function, be sure to let them know that you are going to miss. Otherwise, as SuperXO pointed out, they are sure to assume that you've just lost interest, or are just nonchalant about the whole thing, and not very dedicated.
On another note, are these the only 2 houses you're going to now? Is is wise to narrow your choices down to only 2 this early? Are other Rushees down to only 2 houses? When is bid day? I don't mean to question your choices AT ALL--I'm sure you are a very self-aware young woman . .. I'd just hate to see you narrow it down too soon and regret it later.
