Luise Rainer 1910-2014

Ms. Rainer was the first back-2-back Best Actress Oscar winner, winning for "The Great Ziegfield" and "The Good Earth".

She was the oldest living Oscar winner; by my calculations and research, I think Christopher Plummer, at age 85, is now the oldest living (acting) Oscar winner (he won his Oscar at age 82).

The oldest living non-acting Oscar winner is Elmo Williams, 101, who won in 1952 for editing High Noon.

Crap, I knew I missed someone.

I completely forgot about Ms. DeHavilland.

She is now the oldest Oscar winner in the acting categories.

I think what threw me off is that he is the oldest actor to win an Oscar, as he was 82 at the time of the ceremony.
