What a complete and total mess. The attempts at PR just drag this incident out and makes the situation worse. That unfortunate woman should slink away and consider her decision making process. NOTHING is private when it leaves the confines of your own head.

I don't accept any excuses like poor judgement, drunk, etc. That was inside her. That's how she thinks deep down. Period. And that is unacceptable, but so deeply ingrained I don't know how you turn that around.

I agree. Am I surprised that there is a racist person attending college at UA? No. There are racists at every university in the nation. Part of being a civilized society is keeping your ingrained prejudices to yourself. This woman broke that rule even if she thought her little snapchat would only hang around for a few seconds. If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all.
