If it isn't too nosy a question, did you consider a no-rec? Or did the ingratitude only come out after the rec was sent? Just wondering because when a nice person is this provoked, there's usually a good story behind it.

This is not something that rises to the level of a "no" rec. For me, those are only confirmed serious behaviour issues (one I did the girl was arrested at school and hauled off in the police car). However, I do know how to write a non flattering rec, an average rec, a great rec, etc. Being a spoiled ingrate does not deserve a "no" - because they may call and ask me why and I have to have a good reason. (our chapter advisers can ask an alum why the "no"" rec so I am careful to only do one when it can be backed up).
