A few years ago, my husband, my parents, and I were in Rockefeller Center in December, admiring the Christmas tree, when I heard someone calling my name. I turned around to find my sorority sister (who was partially responsible for my husband and I getting together, and who was my maid of honor), along with her husband and baby. Neither of them had any particular connection to NYC - they were there as tourists.
