I read on a spoiler site that Jordan and Candace don't initiate so she'll have plenty of time to do whatever MTV wants her to.

If you look at the Sigma Rocks pics (dated AFTER initiation) are from the Rock climing/making letters with rocks episode that just aired...

So, who makes it is still a mystery!

				Ahem...

Zuma: Different Mara and Jessica (actives with the same names).
PhiStar: That pic is from the UCSD initiation on 4/13. The girls
from UCD chartered a new chapter. Go Sigma AEPi!

TrojanGirl: The rocks pics are from 4/17 and the Spring Formal was on
5/18. If anyone doesn't make it it will be VERY late in the quarter.

So far all the discussions (the scenes from Episode 1, in particular
the conversations with Leah and Leslie) have centered around letting
all the girls pledge and losing anyone who's not sincere through
attrition. If they change their tune in late May (the 9th or 10th
week of the quarter right before finals), that a really big deal.

Of course it's always possible one or more pledges might decide not to
initiate, but I don't really see why someone would stick it out that
long and not go all the way.

Bottom line is the sorority is eager to build up it's numbers and is
being liberal about taking people in. Remember they are not in
panhellenic and do not benefit from structured rush or a quota system.
Don't you girls know anything about how a sorority is run??? (I am
just kidding please don't flame me).

Ouch, I guess this show has me hooked, I'll probably keep watching
even though I'm sure I won't be surprised...

Those pictures are from setting up their san diego chapter. So no the new initiates from this show would most likely not be present.

 just my $.02.
 | I agree with you. I think maybe Jordan and Candace think Jess doesnt fit into their "mold", whatever that maybe.

This whole program is manipulated. It would almost be funny -- if it weren't so sad.
 | I hope Sigma can overcome any future preconcieved notions that may exist after the series airs. It's all manipulated and just truly sad. It makes me wonder what the sisters of Sigma are thinking when they see the finished show.

BTW, do we know for sure that the Pledge House is gone after the series ends? I'd be curious whether or not the Pledge House was part of the contract with MTV and that Sigma retained ownership after the show.

 | According to the sigma's own webpage the house is gone and was only a one time thing. Also, mentioned on the MTV message boards the house is all empty and what not. I think it may even have already been sold.

IMHO, the first episode came pretty close to being a decentdocumentary about sorority rush. The scenes where Leah, Leslie, and
Pauli were debating how doing rush with the cameras there was going to
affect the chapter were really quite good and reminded me of debates
that took place in my chapter during rush. Even putting the issue of
the Pledge House aside, any documentary about pledges isn't going to
be as interesting as focusing on the actives because they are the
 sorority, not the pledges, duh...

However all indications are that the series will slowly go downhill
from here. There are not going to be any real hardcore conflicts
(i.e., Puck on the old Real World or the infamous "Slap Episode"), so
why bother? It's too realistic for cheap thrills and to artificial to
be an interesting depiction of it's subject matter. It just occupies
a middle ground where nothing really interesting happens.

Jordan's complete lack of respect of the rules really pissed me off. Just about everyone living in a sorority house has to abide by similar rules. No alcohol, no boys, etc. What the hell did these girls expect?! For the Sigma's to hand them their letters and the keys to the pledge house and say have at it??And for all of you fans of Jessica, what about when Candace and Jordan asked if they were invited to that party thing she was going to. She didn't even bother to answer them! That was seriously the rudest thing I have ever heard in my life! She's not making an effort to be friends with them either!
Okay MTV what the hell happened to Dede! She's never on the show anymore!
Someone said that Candace and Jordan don't end up initiating, well gee that's a surprise! Not! Those girls are so transparent, they just want to have their pretty vapid faces on TV. Besides Sigma must have known that people were going to drop after the cameras were gone. I went to the Sigma AEPi website and it has all of their pledge classes since their founding and this most recent pledge class is by far the largest they've ever had. Clearly a lot of girls came out because of MTV.
One last thing (Sorry I know I'm rambling), the website with all of the pictures is almost like cheating. We can see who's still in the chapter up until a certain date, we can see that Jordan didn't take that Justin dude to her formal so we assume that they aren't together anymore. And one little observation of my own. Jessica is with another pledge named Jessica in a great deal of the pictures and so I'm guessing that she hangs out with her a lot rather than the other pledge house girls. Anyone have some other guesses....hehe, this is fun!

Ok, this opinion is totally based on my experiences with my school, Panhellenic, and the GLOs on my campus....to me it seems that candace and jordan's behaviors could have gotten them in trouble before...i wondered if they rushed NPC and didn't get in or got depledged before they joined sigma.

Well, if the series is going to go downhill and get more boring, that can only be good. If fewer potential rushees are watching, that's fewer notions to overcome come rush time!

 | Remember that she could have answered, but MTV just found it more dramatic and catty to show that she didn't.
