This past year, a new member showed up for the pledging ceremony in white volleyball shorts, with a completely appropriate white top and cardigan. *sigh*

Honestly? I'd rather see that than a skirt that doesn't cover her ladyparts.

Heh, we used to call those "Whoops; is that MY vagina?" skirts.

Lilly Pulitzer has their yearly collection of white dresses out right now.

I bought this dress over the weekend at Dillard's. It is nowhere near that short on me.

I would die. I see girls wearing those at the gym and honestly they might as well be boyshort underwear. At least at the gym it kinda sorta makes sense.

When young women are seeking out ideas here, I think we need to be careful that it doesn't look like mid-thigh hems are acceptable for Initiation whites. They might be for some sororities, but they are not for others. I would rather see a long white peasant skirt with a white blouse and cardigan than something mid-thigh. And please ladies, wear comfortable shoes! WHITE ones. /rant
That's true, I didn't think about that. You wouldn't want a girl thinking their dress should look on them the way the one on the 6-foot-tall model looks (short).
