I understand it is usually longer on the young woman than it is on the model. Our original requirements (back when I was initiated) was tea length or floor length. Then we went to mid-calf being ok. Then we went to knee length. The whole time, the dresses seem to be a little bit shorter than the required length. When young women are seeking out ideas here, I think we need to be careful that it doesn't look like mid-thigh hems are acceptable for Initiation whites. They might be for some sororities, but they are not for others. I would rather see a long white peasant skirt with a white blouse and cardigan than something mid-thigh. And please ladies, wear comfortable shoes! WHITE ones.
