Remember that when you're describing things in print, you have to be literal because people can't read between the lines. More often than not we get "my grades are pretty good" when it's barely a 2.0, but the other can be true. Self-deprication (I may be making up words now) is not a helpful attribute in any recruitment environment, whether rush or employment.

And remember, don't discuss your grades during rush. This is a perfect example that in conversation you might have shot yourself in the foot for no reason whatsoever. They will have your grades, or will be getting them before offering you a bid. If you would happen to be asked, say something along the lines of "I was pretty happy with the outcome of my first semester!" and move on.
