I've read that he may have been sneaking out at night. A hangover would explain the puking (as would some pill popping, esp. when you see him sucking down drinks in the the Interior Illusions Lounge).
I've also read that it may be a stunt cooked up by Willam, possibly with RuPaul's knowledge. He was never going to win, and now he'll be SO memorable (and it gave RuPaul an out instead of having to eliminate Sharon/PhiPhi). I assume he DID break the rules (as Tom&Lorenzo put it on their fab blog, "that was some barfing realness") but may have done so in order to get DQ'd.
Any way you slice it, though, I think he probably, like Keith on Project Runway S3, broke multiple rules (breaking curfew & something drug/clothes related is my guess).
God I love this show.
