Do you have a sense of why you were released last year? (And, no, I'm not expecting you to answer that here.) Was it grades? Lack of recs? Went back to houses that weren't as good a fit and dropped the better fits too early? Lack of conversation prep? Failed to present yourself well physically?
If you think you know why you might not have succeeded last year, try to address those points (if possible). If you have some knowledgeable friends who can give you constructive advice and you trust them, then ask them to help too.
