Totally agree on Thor. We went to the dollar theater to see it and felt cheated!

I actually kind of liked Thor.

But then, I went to see it with very low expectations -- the best way to guard against disappointment.

Yeah, I really love Norse mythology and I've read the Edda countless times. Also love the Thor comics. Fail on every single aspect except Natalie Portman and Chris Hemsworth's abs.

Love Norse mythology (though I can't claim to have read the Eddas). Read one or two Thor comics when I was a kid, but that was it -- I am a DC guy.

But like I said, I went in with very low expectations, so I was not disappointed. The movie met or exceeded my (very low) expectations. I've learned the hard way that's the key for a movie like this.

Meanwhile, my entire family was disappointed with both Happy Feet and Fantastic Mr. Fox. We all kept hearing how great they were, but we were all bored senseless by both of them.
