If you mean like crochet (sp?) braids(Where head is cornrowed and the hair is looped through with a knitting needle), the answer is No. She starts the braid just like individuals but does a conrow and pulls up and leaves out some hair in between the criss crosses. The difference in hidden braids and freestyle braids are You have about 7 rows of several conrows. With freestyle you have several (depending on how the parts are made) rows of outward extending braids. I have seen both styles where the hair is pulled out covering the braids.
