Sometimes, you just want to do something for somebody without ulterior motives.

I've just attributed this to IFC/NPC vs. non-IFC/non-NPC. The only times that we received "OMG COOKIES!" were when people wanted votes in student elections. Aside from that, it would just seem weird.
When we had our on-campus house, we would
never expect sorority women to do our chores/yardwork.
