If you pledged at one school and transferred to another you can only join another sorority if the new campus doesn't have ta chapter of the same sorority at the new campus. If it does, you're bound to the 1-year rule. So she notifies the chapter at her new school that she dropped out? I hadn't heard that before. To the OP, check to see if your old chapter is at your new school...if it's not, you're golden. If it is, call the Greek Life office and inquire closer to the time of recruitment.
