Seriously, though, you should consider writing a letter to the editor of the Herald, or any paper you see this type of statement in. Be polite and professional!

Explain :
  • #1- that student is indeed not in a sorority at UF. And ask them to print an appropriate retraction to that affect.
  • #2- the types of events that sorority women participate in (e.g. local and national philanthropies, campus involvment...).. give specifics that residents of the community can SEE and believe
  • #3- that it is inappropriate and not very professional to stereotype this organizations. Give some examples of other GLOs aside from your own.

If nothing else it will show a handful of readers that GLO members are concerned with making a difference and are willing to take the time to explain it. Good luck!
