I know that the burning of crosses are illegal because it's commonly used for racial intimidation, so could the burning of religious texts be considered religious intimidation? Are there laws to protect religious intimidation as there are to protect people from racial intimidation?
Since pretty much everything else has been addressed. I think it's actually perfectly legal to burn a cross on your own property. (Assuming you have burn permits depending on your locale I suppose.) It's burning it on other people's front lawns or public property that would be an issue for all the reasons discussed.
