A Recruitment Story :)

Okay, so these are my notes after the first round.

We first went to Finn, where the girls were really sweet. Very talkative, no awkward pauses in the conversation really and I loved their song.
Next came Puck, which quickly became a favorite for me. The ladies I talked to were all energetic and bubbly, but I could see they were being really genuine.
Afterwards was Mercedes. Conversation at this house felt very forced and unnatural, and I kept getting passed off in a very obvious way. They were nice enough, but they weren't the house for me.
Then we went to Sue, which had an awesome theme. The girls were really laid back and conversation was great. I felt really relaxed here, which I took as a good sign.
After a bit of a break, we headed over to Brittany, where the girls were really sweet but just a little bit awkward.
The next one we went to was Schue, which was awesome. We got on topics that were totally different than the standard fare here, and I just felt really glad to be there the entire time. Definitely a favorite.
Next we went to Kurt where the girls were SO nice to me. They were a bit soft-spoken maybe, but I didn't feel particularly awkward at any given point. At the end of the round, the girl I was talking to said "Hope to see you soon!" I think that might mean I'm getting an invite back here, but I'm certainly not positive.
Then came Quinn, which I honestly did not expect to like. However, I was quickly proven wrong by the AWESOME talks I had with the ladies in this house. They were so welcoming and genuine to me, which got me really excited about this house. For the second house in a row, my girls told me that they hoped to see me soon. I'm hoping this is a good sign!!!
Following that was Artie, which was kind of an uncomfortable experience for me. I was put in a pair even though there were more than enough girls to go around and just generally felt that the conversation was stilted. I talked to the girl I was paired with afterwards and neither of us thought this was a good round for either of us.
The last round of the night was at Rachel, which really re-energized me even though it was late late late at night. The girls I talked to were awesome and they were incredibly warm and welcoming. I was glad to end the night on a good note.

Okay, so after last night, here is my ranking:

Things can change after the first round. People are nervous on both sides. I wouldn't discount a house just because the first time you meet them isn't magical.

THIS. Many times a house someone hated and wanted to cut after day 1 ends up being a total favorite after pref. Just remember that the ones that invited you back invited you for a reason and try to keep an open mind towards all the chapters!
