African American women in CPC, opinions, please?

Just to clarify, in the west it is very common for african american, asian, hispanic and even international students to go through NPC recruitment. This really seems to be an issue in the south.

It happens more than in the south but I wouldn't classify it as "very common."

It's an issue everywhere but in varying doses. There are also Black, Asian, Hispanic, and International student NPCers in the south but that doesn't negate the issue that is being highlighted in this thread.

In the Midwest too. At the schools I've seen it's about in proportion to the student body. I obviously don't have numbers, and that could vary from school to school, but it seems consistent.

Also the one thing I feel comfortable about saying with regards to MS is that I never once heard one of my sisters try to reject a PNM based on her race either blatantly or through "code" words. I don't know what went through their heads, but at the least I can claim that.
