LOL. I know, I know. I almost typed "It's a rhetorical question."
I am not meant to understand, just like my wife doesn't understand how I can find a Home Depot wherever I am.

Because we want a coordinated bathroom, just like the men who do it.
Because you all don't have your friends' phone numbers?

Well, I don't see the point of themes, either, but having a theme is the theme of the thread.

Damn you stole my idea!!
Or you can make up your own words to "I'm a Barbie Girl"...
"I'm a Phi Mu girl, in a Phi Mu world, I'm at Drexel, I like pretzels..."

A) I love you. Someone please do this.
B) Yes I am a Phi Mu. Yes, I like pink. A LOT. Yes, I picked the nail polish I'm wearing right now because it looks like "Barbie" Pink. Yes, I may have a problem, however it is a problem I thoroughly enjoy.

Hahahaha...Yes, I like the Barbie theme. I mean, how many Tiffany's, VS, Sex & the City, Wizard of Oz, Candy Land and other themes do we use that could be seen as stupid or childish to one person or another? I love the theme Drexel sister and hope you do the "I'm a Phi Mu girl, in a Phi Mu world" tag line because it is cute (and pretty cheesy-funny)! Good luck with that! I really want you to post pictures of the shirts you get designed for it!

It was a joke, not a legitimate suggestion.

No, I realize that but, it would still be cute. I actually liked it.

Hell to the yeah. If you're going to rail about superficiality, female stereotypes and childishness in themes, Barb certainly does not have a corner on the market. Not everyone is a Disney fan and that shyte gets used ALL the time.
FWIW, I never felt upset or disempowered or any of that other garbage by Barbie, and much preferred her (or her paper doll counterparts) to the far more insipid choice of playing "house."

I hope no sisters ever do this, or the Medium to Big Squirrels might not appreciate my humor.
Can I see a cheeses of the world theme? That would be a recruitment I'd enjoy, as I'm an old lady.

How does it fit?
How does a Barbie theme fit with this:
THE CREED OF PHI MU FRATERNITY
To lend to those less fortunate a helping hand.
To think of God as a protector and guide of us all.
To keep forever sacred the memory of those we have loved and lost.
To be to others what we would they would be to us.
To keep our lives gentle, merciful and just,
Thus being true to the womanhood of love.
To walk in the way of honor, guarding the purity of our thoughts and deeds.
Being steadfast in every duty small or large.
Believing that our given word is binding.
Striving to esteem the inner man above culture, wealth or pedigree.
Being honorable, courteous, tender,
Thus being true to the womanhood of honor.
To serve in the light of truth avoiding egotism, narrowness, and scorn.
To give freely of our sympathies.
To reverence God as our Maker, striving to serve Him in all things.
To minister to the needy and unfortunate.
To practice day by day love, honor, truth.
Thus keeping true to the meaning, spirit and reality of Phi Mu.
This is an incredibly meaningful and profound creed. And you want Barbie to represent your sisterhood?
(Looking for rocking chair to join the oldie, out of touch crowd on porch...)

I'm slow on the uptake today...has there really been an NPC chapter that had a VICTORIA'S SECRET themed recruitment event?
Please tell me that this is theoretical.
ETA: Never mind -- I just saw the thread. I -- I may need to sit down.
