Most common infractions were for chalking violations. Yes, chalk.
Before recruitment, chapters were assigned an area to chalk "Go Greek" in.
There were quite a few rules about it though: You could chalk "XYZ says Go Greek" but "Go Greek" had to be BIGGER than your letters/chapter spelled out. If it wasn't, you were going to be warned to fix it or get an infraction. That happened before to many chapters. We always fixed it if warned (because no one wanted to be the one to cause us to get an infraction).
Also, chapters could make their own "XYZ says "Go Greek" fliers to put up in buildings, but the same rules applied. They had to promote Panhellenic as a whole, not your chapter. That was a big rule too.
Our Panhellenic was also big on preventing bid promising. You had to be careful not to say "see you tomorrow!" at the end of a party because PNMs could misinterpret that as "I'm going to get an invite back or a bid here!"
